Lake Somerset

Cement City, MI | 200 Acres | Private Allsports | Hillsdale County

Lake Somerset is a private access, man-made lake located near Somerset Center, MI, near the intersection of US12 and US 127. Lake Somerset is a popular area for year-long lake residents, which may be due to the fact that it is an equal distance between Adrian, Jackson and Hillsdale.

  • Meckley’s Flavor Fruit Farm in Somerset Center is a great place to get donuts, cider and fresh produce during certain seasons. They also make their own hard cider!
  • Michigan International Speedway has more than just NASCAR, it’s home to large festivals, community events and concerts throughout the year.
  • For a spooky adventure in the fall, DarkSyde Acres in Jonesville is one of the largest haunted attractions in Michigan. Take a hayride or find your way through the labyrinth on a crisp fall evening.
  • McCourtie Park is a popular destination for picnicking, an afternoon walk or giving Fido some room to run. It’s also a popular place to take photographs due to its unique handcrafted cement bridges.

You won’t have to travel far to find a good meal. Right down the road you can grab a burger and catch the big game at Artesian Wells Sports Tavern. For a great feeling of community and a look at the local artwork, check out In Good Company in Clarklake.  Feeling like a frozen treat? Freddies Freeze has been dishing up dairy treats since 1973 and is just a walk away from many areas of the lake.
